Google Earth Flight Simulator Game
Can someone help me with a Microsoft Flight Simulator X qeustion?
I have been flying on FSX for quite a while. I don’t like the terrain at all even with it on somo off the highest settings. Is there a way I could use somthing like Google Earth or Geoeye to get a nice High Res terrain. I have flown on other games that have alot more detailed terrain and there has to be a way to get better looking ground. The shots that look good in the air are not even of the cities. I flew over 5 cities that I am highly familiar with and the auto-gen mesh and shots are of some other area. I have seen global retextures by aerosoft but those are close to $80!!!!
If anyone has done it or knows of a program please help me it would be very much appreciated. = ]
Ultimate Terrain X is very good, covers all the US I think but it’s payware. It’s not exact satellite images but it depicts the smallest ponds. ORBX is by far the best. They make a little section for northwest US that is amazing, you should check it out. If everything was Google Earth images the size of the game would be astronomical.
The main point of this game is more-so flying and not sight seeing, if you want to do that then buy ORBX, you won’t be disappointed.
